4. Join the frame sections with flathead screws and architrave
sections with set screws, starting with the architrave. Any surplus
adhesive
must be removed immediately. Let the adhesive cure before
proceeding further.
|

5. Then tighten up the screw for the hinged frame section using
the 4mm Allen key. Cut door seal to suit avoiding any stretching.
|

6. Insert the assembled frame into the wall opening.
If necessary adjustments can be made for any irregularities in the wall
opening. The hinge side of the frame must be plumb and fixed at the
top.
|
|

7. Hang door leaf, check that it operates correctly and adjust,
if necessary. The lower gap between door and floor may be modified
by adjusting the frame or by shortening the door leaf. (See 12)
Line up the lock plate side of the frame with the door leaf and
fix.
|

8. Pack cavities between wall and frame at hinge and lock plate
level with timber packing pieces, if required. To ensure an accurate
fit, clamp three braces between the two upright frame sections.
|

9. Tip: To avoid overspill onto the frame from the expanding foam,
insert cardboard strips in the groove of the architrave prior to
application.
|
|

10. Apply double-compound foam to the cavities at the height of
the braces and at least 30% of the cavity area.
|

11. Insert the already assembled architrave into the groove of
the installed frame. Start at top corner and gradually insert the
architrave parallel to the wall. The adjustable architrave evens
out any variations in the wall thickness.
|

12. For hard floors (e.g. tiles, parquet flooring) the bottom
of the frame should be sealed to prevent penetration of water.
The frame can also be raised using a spacer strip if necessary.
